  • Recruitment & Selection

  • Offer, Contract & Employee Handbook

  • Redundancy
    Redundancy is a statutory concept and only applies in certain limited circumstances. There is a statutory process to complete too. Employers need to consider informing the Redundancy Payments Service if making more than a certain number of employee redundant and must carry out minimum consultation periods. There are other essential requirements to be adhered to before employees are selected for redundancy. Speak to one of our experts before you risk getting it wrong for your business.
  • Dismissal - Conduct
    Whether an employee has stolen from you and their finger prints are on the money or they have hit another employee and you have CCTV footage, there are processes that employers should follow before making any decisions that affect an employee’s continued employment and failure to do so could render a dismissal unfair. Contact us to discuss your situation before you end the employment relationship in order to mitigate the risk of an appeal or Tribunal Claim.
  • Dismissal – Incapability
    Unfortunately, not all employees are capable of achieving a reasonable level of performance for example, due to ill-health or lack of drive, skills or relevant experience. You have to reach this conclusion following a fair and objective assessment. Not sure what this means? We can navigate you through the potential minefield and assess other factors, such as disability discrimination, that you might not have otherwise have thought of.
  • TUPE
    If you are buying or selling a business, the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations (“TUPE”) may apply. If TUPE applies, you will have certain obligations to provide information, consult with staff. Employees automatically transfer to the new employer on their existing T&Cs and any dismissal by virtue of the transfer of employment under TUPE can be automatically unfair. Its a technical piece of law and we know a lot about it. Let us help you make sense of it.
